Russ has two laser machines. One is a blue and white 60 watt china machine. This video is NOT on that machine.

He also has a Lightbeam 60 watt machine. This one is VERY VERY - almost exactly same same as my machine. Slightly different laser tube mounting hardware but everything else is almost exact same as mine.

I did not watch this video previous to my endeavor, but I DID discover just about everything he is talking about.
I did the hard part just as he did before he did this video.
I guess that is what engineers do. Learn it the hard way.
Well at least I truly understand it.
I do need to go back and do it again, as I know it's not perfect yet.
I don't have time just now - but I do have some new lenses, and tubes, and mirrors coming in.
When I get the new stuff I will go back and realign it yet again.

I do like the way he went about setting everything up, and I think I may duplicate his process.
He does offer up his detailed drawings.

He explains it all FAR better than I would be able to do.
I learned a little bit more watching this video.

I watched that all the way through, and like you Leo, he covered most everything I came to conclusion on my own. I started with aligning my tube, which was about 1/8" out of square to the cabinet, then worked on getting each of the mirrors aligned. I need to cut a few targets to go back and do it all again. I've been cutting fine, but I'm sure it's got room for improvement.
