Segment band clamps

I made up a batch of Earls Segment clamps getting ready to start making segments again.

The screwdriver is used to twist the string tight

I've not seen those before. I wish I had when I was making segmented turnings. That is so much easier than using band clamps and not nearly as expensive. Do you get much stretching in the braided rope you are using?

It stretches some but does tighten up and hold the part really well. I made a few with larger cord because I was worried of that but the lager rope I think is just over kill and the 1/8" will work just fine. It is a 40lb test and you can twist it as tight as you can with no problems.
