I heard on the news that two towns in Michigan dropped 15,000 marshmallows from helicopters for kids as part of an Easter celebration. The kids were admonished to not eat the marshmallows because they had been on the ground. Only the government would drop food from a helicopter for children and then tell them they couldn't eat it.
Two thoughts came to mind. The first of course was the infamous turkey drop by Les Nessman of WKRP of Cincinnati fame. Les would have dropped marshmallows for the kids.
The second thing I thought of were the vast fields of giant marshmallows that I saw while I was in Norway. They were everywhere and according to the locals they were farmed by the trolls that live in that country. The description in the news report made me think of that scene.
Wouldn't you just love to see giant marshmallows that you can't eat being dropped from helicopters?
