Yeah, that'd be a great addition - then top it with a sandbag, with another one under the stock's butt....I really like Jim's idea, but I was thinking a hole for like a 2x4 that had a V notch cut into the top and a series of holes vertically so a pin/bolt could slide through it and adjust to height for holding the barrel.
Perfect!I have a lead sled shooting rest to use on it. Will still make up some bags though.
It came it handy for my BIL whom has had shoulder surgery and couldn’t shoot the bigger rifles otherwise.

Charcoal briquettes make handy plinking targets. They create a puff of black "smoke" when hit, and they're biodegradable so cleanup is easy.I save all my old spray paint cans for reactive targets. Audrey knows what a "church key" is and wants the marbles out of the cans when we are done. Great times and an education at the same time!!!
That is a great idea I hadn't ever thought of. Thanks for the tip.Charcoal briquettes make handy plinking targets. They create a puff of black "smoke" when hit, and they're biodegradable so cleanup is easy.

Been doing that for quite a few years. Fun with my pellet gun. Only thing the grandkids have argued over who get Grandpa's Coke bottle full of marbles when he dies. A lot of can now have steel bearing instead of marbles. Kinda spoils the fun, but they shoot good in a slingshot.I save all my old spray paint cans for reactive targets. Thats good cause they taste like chalk, lol!Necco Wafers make great plinking targets too.
