I would slide a piece of shim stock under the partially opened drawer to block the motion of the stop and let the drawer pull out over it. A great idea, but he should have shown how to bypass it when you need to get the drawer out.

I'm guessing anyone capable of building a stop like that on their own (after only seeing a short video) is clever enough to figure out how to bypass it as well.
