Small Elm Bowl

Finished this up yesterday, actually. Ribeyes on the grill slowed my progress of getting it online, etc. It's 7 1/4" in diameter, 2 1/4" high, 1 3/4" deep and has a volume of 3 cups. Managed to keep some bark on the outside. Did my usual sealing with walnut oil. Buffed with that tripoli stuff. Finished it with shellac and then buffed it again.

It's a shame all my elm has turned to sawdust or I would try to copy that.... Pretty bowl.

Yeah, Chuck. That's bad. This is from a tree I just took down maybe 4 weeks ago. Turned out to be hollow so not a whole lot of usable wood. Oh, well.
