Sometimes I Wonder

QTC's different departments to make a decision
they are scared because the QTC is only 1 of 4 different contractors that do the evaluation so it is competitive. The rules are very strict so they will be cautious about resolving the issue also since the incident happened on the VA's watch they may need to look at increasing your rating as they end result. Probably not unless the injury is permanent.

I think there are other VETS that need the VA much more than I do....
Chuck,
one thing to keep in mind is the amount of funding the VA get depends on how many people are enrolled in the VA Health care system. Only 1 or 2 % of the vets who are eligible are in the system, Think about about if a greater number were enrolled. I have Medicare and only really use the VA for my hearing loss, I have 20% for tinnitus and hearing loss so every 3 years I get a new pair of hearing aids from the VA. I do visit them once a year to keep in the system. By doing them I help increase the number of people enrolled even if I don't use them for much. When I went into the VA system I was in priority group 8 which has the highest co-pays. I did it because I needed health insurance and couldn't afford paying the premiums. Later when I put in my claim for hearing loss I got moved up to priority group 3 which took away my co pay but I still use my Medicare for most of my health care. Just think if we could get double the amount of people enrolled in the VA system they would get a lot more funding. Your NOT taking away from other vets by being enrolling, you are in fact helping your fellow vets.

Okay, based on that I may have to look into it....like you, I'm on Medicare, have a policy from BCBSTN that is a no premium policy that pays most of mine and Dianne's medical charges with relatively low co-pays.

Dave an FYI I just got back from my eye appointment and it looks like I have glaucoma which is not the news I was hooping for this was an optometrist. He is referring to a specialist for a final outcome. One thing that came out of the visit was he told me that disease of the eye are a presumptive condition for agent orange exposure. Presumptive mean if you are diagnost then they (the VA) have to assume that it is service connected.
