sometimes the solution is right in front of our face.

I love the efficiency of the dust collection on the NC it makes it possible for me to do woodworking but one of the hassles is the 2 inch hose getting in the way. It has required me to be right there t the machine if I am doing projects of any size. I was trying to come up with an elaborate way to keep it out of the way. I was cutting out the side parts for the cradle, these use the whole travel of the machine when all of a sudden I looked on the shelf and I saw the 20" solid adapter that came with my Rigid shop vac. I picked it up and put it on the dust shoe ahead of the vacuum hose and viola problem solved. I ran the rest of the part and second part with no problems at all. sometime the simple solutions are the best solutions. 20201225_134441.jpg

I've used a bungee from the rafters to the hose on mine, lol. It works!

Nothing like having decent dust collection on the cnc. Just too cold for me to spend much time out there right now.
