with the errors planed away, and the right size insets made, time for the rest of the holder. got all the parts cut, and the notches for the half laps cut too. did some quick test assemblies, with and without the sake bottle, and cups.
while the cnc wa working away, i got to do some more for the wine bottle holders. started gluing up the subassemblies for the 4 bottle holder, and did a test set up when the second one was set enough. then i did another test set up of the bourbon bottle holders. going to bring the 4 wine bottles to the shop, to get a look at a test set up.
got the sub assemblies for the sake set, and one type of wine bottle holders glued up. got the tops for them stained as well. also stained the small support bars for the wine bottle holders too.
busy day today. glued up the rest of the 4 bottle holders, and the bourbon bottle holders too. i decided that the bourbon bottle holders did not have enough cross wise support, so i will be adding 4 new crossmembers in each holder. finished the staining of the bottoms of the tops, and got the tops of the single wine bottle holders ready for staining.
well, had a little bit more time on my hands (and some stain). got the tops of the single wine bottle holders stained tonight. when i bring home the other parts of the holder, i will mark and stain the bottoms.
got the shellac done on the tops and base parts for the sake bottle holders done today. all that is left, is to assemble them. also got the bases for the one bottle wine bottle holders stained today. more shellac work, and staining tomorrow.
got a lot of the shellac work done today. a bit on the chilly side today, so i broke out the heaters, in no time flat, 70 degrees. one more set of bases, the ones for the bourbon bottle holders, to be stained, and shellacked.
