I came across a video the other day on the Learn CNC channel where they were using a Stream Deck to map short-cuts in Vectric for quickly working with various tools on the toolbars and macros to automate some features. I had never heard of the Stream Deck, but they are popular with video creators and gamers. They are a simple key pad, but they have a display behind the keys for changing the keys functions depending on how you lay them out and pages you're on.
I ended up finding a used 32 key version for $100 (new $250). This is mostly the default setup, which has common keyboard functions a few short-cuts to apps and bookmarks, redo, undo, Play/Pause, FF, reverse, and volume/mute buttons. You can add/remove, rearrange things as you wish, add navigation to other pages of keys/functions, other profiles, etc.

Clicking apps button on that screen displays a new set of butttons, with a back key.

You can add different profiles and link them for whatever app you're working in, this is the vectric profile the guy in the video created, which I downloaded from his link.
He even created a number pad for quick entry, using that number pad icon in the last pic above.

This is the desktop app that runs and lets you configure the pages of keys. You just drag and drop the function you want to use to a spot on the virtual keyboard. Update any parameters or links it needs and it updates the display immediately.

I've downloaded a sample Fusion 360 profile I'm currently exploring. It's setup for a smaller version of the keypad, but works the same.
They even have a free site for creating icons and wallpapers for the device.
This is the video showing how he created the Vectric profile and short-cuts...
There are also software and apps you can get for your phone/tablets to do the same thing, the maker of this device has their own version of it, but over 5 keys requires a subscription and it's not a free as others. There are also lots of these out there that are clones, but have their own software, so be sure to look at what you're getting if you decide to go down this path. This one seems to have a decent community behind it making plugins and sharing profiles to make it a better value. I did try out a few tablet and phone apps, but personally like the tactile feel of the keys on the device.
So, Yes, you can learn the app short-cuts, print them out, or click the icons in the app, its not a cheap device. For me, whom is at my computer daily working in multiple apps and doing repetitive functions, I figure it will save me some time if I can automate or map common functions I use every day.
Just thought it was worth the share for those that do quite a bit of design and even video work.
For some of you doing videos and want to automate camera views and scene options, it can work with some of the adobe products and OBS Studio (https://obsproject.com/). It probably would work for those that use a computer with their music equipment too for switching setups.
