I didn't like what it cost but it was a tradeoff. Each year this stuff get harder to do and who knows if I will be able to do it next year. So make hay while the sun shines.Nicely done, Steve. I bet you've got a small fortune invested in lumber.
No acreage. This is our retirement location to I am trying to minimize daily/weekly maintenance. With all the trees I only need to mow every couple of weeks but on the other hand IGreat Job on that! And what a great setting Do you have acreage?
That's what I have in mind. I like the first type but not sure of the offset. The second type is more what I envisioned but with a lag on both sides. That's looking great, Steve.
Would something like this work for the gate hinges?
Or maybe strap hinges like these?
I believe I can make this work. Mount the barrel to the jamb/post and the j-bolt to the stile. The stile is +/-4" dia. so will have to counter bore it to get the 2 1/2" gap on the small size. That's looking great, Steve.
