How do you dress up an ugly hospital bed?

Like this.

I built a headboard and footboard that slides down over the ugly brown steel and fake woodgrain ones. I built the valences for the roll-up shades, fabricated all new trim, and used Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C on the unfinished solid wood dresser and nightstand we bought at Ikea. I think it came out great.
