Curse my old age if I have asked this before. I have inherited a Jet wet sharpener akin to a Tormek from my dad. Years later I have still yet to use it. Something about me loathes good things lying idle. I would like to gift this to someone, possibly a turner(?), in my area as the weight (25 to 35 lbs depending what I toss in) would probably make shipping it cost more than it is worth. I have several tool holders as well as a spare abrasive wheel of all things (bought for dad at a Rockler Garage Sale Event). I have tried surfing the members here but, many do not list locations (no help there no matter what). Is there a way to get a list of members whittled down by SoCal locations? Also, if whoever is monitoring this knows of someone, I am open to discussion.
 
I don't know of a way to query the member database by member location, but Darren might. You might also reach out to the Glendale Woodturners Guild, which is a fairly large woodturning group that's semi-close to you.

That said, it looks like USPS Ground Advantage shipping to me would be about $50. If you don't find any takers, hit me up...I'd be willing to spring for the shipping if it's in that ballpark. I bought a new Grizzly wheel for my Tormek and it was too large to fit in the water tray, so I modified the tray. As a result, the tray doesn't hold much water, so the Tormek had become a pain to use.
