using up some scrap cherry

i still have typing skills. been busy with various set ups of the cross. then there was getting the background check, and drug test done, and filling out all of the pre-employment paperwork. i start working full time scanning documents this coming monday. what i can recall, the saw was off, but not finished spinning down. i must have been reaching for something, as it caught the back of my little finger, as i was reaching for something. this is how stupidity is paid.

Sorry you had to go through that, but glad it wasn't worse. I assume you didn't have any tendon damage?

I made the same mistake of reaching towards the blade before it stopped many years ago, luckily I only chipped a thumbnail, got a little cut, and a bruise (in both my thumb and pride) for a bit.

As bad as it is, you came out pretty well. The finger's still there, bones and tendons are OK, and you'll have a cool scar to tell the grandkids about. ("Yeah, this scar here? That was from the time I had to wrestle a grizzly bear that was trying to steal my hot dog on a camping trip. It got hold of my pinky for a minute, but you shoulda seen the bear when I got done with it. Oh, and I got my hot dog back, by the way.")

vaughn, i have a bleached bear skull from my days going to rendezvous, will that suffice? well, after a couple of days off, back at it again. finished putting them together, sanded flat, and ready for detail work, finish sanding, oil, and hangers. allen got it right, it is satisfying at times, to be able to swear in several languages, and klingon...
