16th century we are make a few repairs to this Italian wedding chest.

Interesting carvings indeed! the front one seems to try to depict the bride and the groom while the top one seems some sort of puppeteer moving two small demons or puppets of sorts.

Could be clans symbols, it is mid 1500s Norwegian.
Or the groom is a Hunter and his notable hunts are preserved.
