He told me him and wife has commitments for Sunday so most likely they won't drive up Saturday evening
I gave him my number to text me if he changes plans

We will be leaving Thursday decided to leave 3 days earlier and make a stop or two
I'm hoping everyone who can makes it to shipshewana Saturday the 2nd for dinner
I have not spoken with Jim yet but if he can't make shipshewana if he's home may 3rd Sunday we will see if he's interested in dinner near him
It's an hour or so short of where we'd normally drive but we have an extra day so the hour won't mean much
Again hope to see some of you old guys Uh I mean old friends may 2nd
I will be by myself in battle creek for a few days and free to hangout
Again no pressure just thought I'd mention it last time

We were getting antsy
We only have obligations till weds morning then we discussed hey we have a few extra days and we don't see the kids when they have school so we are stopping in mt pocono pa for 2 days first then will just drive and stop wherever
Just have to be in Battle Creek by Monday or latest tuesday
I have finished all projects besides the glass in broke and the tiki bar which is way ahead of schedule
I'm hoping the glass guy has my glass by Tuesday or Wednesday

Traffic was the worst I've seen it ever
I've gone this route at least 400 times and it's never been this bad
We are in mt pocono at the infamous golf resort mt airy
A 2 hour trip took us 3.5 hours
Here for 2 days
Then headed west
I have not texted Jim yet but will soon to see what his plans are

Not sure how things will go tomorrow
First I got way too much sun yesterday and today driving around with top down
I'm guessing combination of first real sun this year and all the new meds didn't mix well
And worst of all didn't do well in casino
They are predicting heavy storms for our start tomorrow
If I know I'll make Ohio I'll shoot you a text
I just don't know we have plenty of time so I don't have to push hard

Not sure how Jim knew I was craving bbq big time this weekend
He suggested dingleberry or Barry Dyngles great bbq pulled pork and a few baby back ribs

Firekeepers put a wrench in our plans
They couldn't give me the same room for Monday also so we decided to go to detroit
Everyone I know wants to get out of Detroit but sat in horrible traffic going up from toledo
We are at mgm grand detroit
The room is fantastic we took the corner suite but I'm too beat once again to do anything for a bit
We will stay here till Tuesday then over to battle creek

From Youngstown to Toledo I never went less then 85 mph then hit hiway 75 north and that was that
Looking out my window there isn't a person on the street so we will skip a
Walk downtown until tomorrow when people are around

I would visit both if at all possible. We have a great community here and I am proud to be part of it. Larry is not far away if I recall correctly and is well worth a visit.

All the roadtripping I do o completely forgot Detroit is a stones throw from Canadian border

Prices here are off the wall insane
We usually bring things to make breakfast in room as there's always free coffee
Just went down to coffee bar 6.50 for a croissant

Firekeepers checked us in early but ai lied there is no self service laundry at the hotel
Firekeepers gave me 40 dollars gas money on my players card a bit confusing but we got it with the help of a Michigander
Dinner tonight at their restaurant is free comped by casino
So off to a good start
We had a good day yesterday in Detroit in

The dinner comp was 100 bucks but one time use
The waitress told us since our bill was under 70 would we like to take anything home?
So I took 2 bourbon chocolate cake and a lemon Marange how ever it's spelled cheese cake and elen will bring it with Randi tomorrow when they head to shipshewana

Randi picked elen up her car looked like she was moving
Their were chairs sewing machines luggage not an inch of extra space
Had to use up Elen's food credit something she got some honeybuns from the bakery here to see if any of the girls at retreat are interested
If you don't use the free stuff they give it disappears

Yeah, that's what Mida's car looks like whenever she goes to a quilting retreat. Sewing machines, folding table and chair, all sorts of cloth, batting, and other supplies, plus a folding wagon to haul it all. Any more stuff and she's gonna have to use my truck!
