along with the arbor for her, i decided to make a plaque for them. i went with some bits of maple that i had on hand, and glued them up into a blank. a couple of passes through the planer, and some good sanding, the blank was ready for marking for taping, taped, and painted a nice version of emerald green. the idea being, that the lettering should show up quite nicely against the green background. i still think that there is room for some embellishments in the design.

took the tape off today, and set it up on the cnc for carving. started with the title, and then the text. after the carving, trimmed it to size, and all that is left is to paint the back and edges.
