I would sure want these on my list for when people ask "what do you want for Christmas?". I have a of cool things I would not buy for myself. This is how I got them
;)
. I'll add some here and come bck and add more. Add yours. Others will thank you.

Veritas Apron Plane. Probably my most used plane.

Grr-Ripper Push Block and Accessories. I got a couple of these on clearance after Xmas at Lowes.

Veritas Dominoe Joinery Table. What a time saver.

Miniature scrapers. Great for glue squeeze out clean up and so much more.

This is actually the Xmas list I gave my wife. I have no idea what items she will select out of this for me. We have a total dollar amount that we are not suppose to exceed.

I have an Amazon gift list for my wife and separated one for my kids that I add to all year long. Items under $30 go in the kids list, more expensive ones in my wife’s list.

I learned the hard way that my wife is cheap. I had a combined list one year and she bought all the cheaper items and there wasn’t anything left the kids could afford that year.

Wood is always on my Christmas list. My wife will buy me beautiful wood that I would not buy for myself. She loves to buy wood. Of course, she knows that she gets first pick on everything I turn unless it is specially earmarked for someone. Sometimes she gets those pieces too. I don't refuse her.

I also hope to get a couple more 6" rules. I have quite a few of them but I always could use more.

I have dropped a hint about how I would like to get some 1095 steel blanks for knives. Last year I bought a 3"x16"x1/4" thick blank for my kukri and was very pleased at how well it worked and tempered. I had help tempering it as the expert I am learning from supervised and guided me as I tempered the steel. Nevertheless I wouldn't mind making a few more knives from some good steel.

I don't need any turning tools or lathe accessories. I have everything I need and don't really need anything else.

I have been selling off bar clamps and my collection of Bessey parallel clamps. I am not making boxes any more so might as well sell them to someone who needs them.

I'm at the age where I don't really need anything else. Have the necessary stuff to do what I want and that's enough. Looking at the attic and other storage spots and saying "what am I going to do do with a all this "stuff"? I'm happy where I am. Have a good home loving wife and family. This seems a little morbid but I am content. Don't need any thing else.

If I need something I usually buy it when I need it, but there is an Amazon wish list for birthday/Christmas with a few nice to have things that I add to throughout the year. The total of all the items is less than a hundred dollars. Like Darren said it gives the kids an opportunity to get a gift, but doesn't break the bank. At this point in time we tell the kids not to get us anything they don't want to inherit.
