I need to look into that lifetime warranty. Some how I have a hard time believing that Home Depot will honor that.

I was a Ridgid service dealer for several years. As long as you registered your product as per the instructions when you bought it, then printed off your LMA confirmation (or saved it in a file), the LMA applies at any Ridgid service centre. It's the service centres that handle it, not Home Depot.

One more (trivial until you run into it) thing. It isn't a warranty. It's a Maintenance Agreement ..... sounds the same .... but has different limits to the manufacturer's liability as compared to "warranty".

I am sure I don't have any paperwork on it.

For a service life of 20 years I am quite happy with what I got.
I will not just toss it in the trash - I will at least try to fix it.

At the very least it has a power cord. I have a drawer half full of "I could maybe put that to use some day" salvaged power cords.
