    Sizing down glass

I have a small plate of 1/8" thick glass, its over sized in one direction by just a mere fraction of an inch. What is the best way to bring it down to size? Can sanding with a rough grit paper get it done?

As long as it is not tempered glass you can sand it with a belt sander. Have done this with good success

To answer my own question, yes you can. I used a Ryobi oscillating sander. Placed paper towel under the glass to ride on and easy does it. Was able to get it down to size.
