LOL, I do the same thing. :D

Similar to Stu, too, I'll look at the readout sometimes, but usually it's just to see that I'm getting more comfortable turning at higher speeds than I did a six months ago.
 
When I had my 1236, I thought the swivel head was the greatest. I stressed over not finding a bigger lathe with one. Ok the Poole has a swivel head, but I don't think they are sold in the states anymore.

Now that I've been using the 3520, I don't miss that feature at all.

Yeah, that'd turn a bottle stopper or two. It's nice-looking, and the 15 hp motor should do OK, but the 800 RPM top speed is the dealbreaker for me. :p (Although at 12,000 pounds, I suspect you wouldn't need to add bags of sand to keep it in place when spinning unbalanced bottle stopper blanks.)
