Another Challenge

...Yes, the rail goes up and around. ;)
Dang...I was thinking I'd know how to do this one. Now you went and made it all hard and stuff. :p I still may try it (with or without the "up" part), but it'll have to be later...work's been keeping me swamped and short of time.

Dave,

I've only used SU a few times, so I'll take a guess here.

you drew the end profile.
then you created a path to establish the curve that it would follow.
then you extruded it or used a follow command to create the desired shape.

am I close?

Hi Dave , That Art is a funny guy!
I'm Still trying to figure out
"Quantum materiae materietur marmota monax si marmota monax materiam possit materiari?"

Is it
"When the material matures and mates with the mother ship, sieze that moment to maximize use of all possible in house material and flee"?:dunno::rofl:
You are always TOO Much and really............Just enough!:D
Shaz :)
Thanks for the challenge..:thumb:

Hmm, OK, generate the solid in a single plane and use a shear transform to do the slope. Cool. I wonder if the sandbox smoove tool might do it even more directly? I had a lot of 'fun' (for curious definitions of the word) using smoove etc to try to generate a 3D model of my building lot recently.... need better explaining!
