Long finger jointing

Finger joints were not required, they were chosen because of the look. I was making a case similar to Vaughns pool cue case. I would have loved dovetails but I am not that good at them yet.

Funny thing is after all this work I ran into some problems and ended up cutting off the fingers. I needed a stop rabbet in the boards and this old oak was so brittle I could not chisel the ends square for it splitting and cracking. One of the things I don't like about Oak.
