I received a commission to make a gavel for a new judge that will be swarn in in January. The client picked PADUK for it. As usual, it turned great and smelled good, too. After polishing the bare to 4000, I wiped it down with Butcher Block Oil. I looked at it and it didn't need any finish, so I used the Tripoly and Wax of the beal system.
It was Laser engraved by a Friend. The judge's name on one side and "Justice with Mercy" on the other.
Thanks for lookin'
