Lamps

I made 10 table lamps and a floor lamp.
I used mahogany (6) and red cedar (4) for the table lamps.
The floor lamp was made of machiche wood.
Also in the pictures 7 hollow forms and a letter opener are included.
I hope you like them.

Thanks for your kind comments.

Jeff, in fact they are my first lamps.
Almost all the lamps are for my wife
and children. Two of the table lamps
are for christmas gifts. One for my Mum
and other for an old lady who I
appreciate very much.
As Mohammad said, I have been very busy,
I also finished ten platters, not included in the pictures.
Some of them will be christmas gifts.
My wife and children are happy with all this stuff.

Thanks.

Alfredo the reason I asked is that they look good enought to sell for sure! It's great that you are giving them all away as gifts. I'm sure everyone will love them.

Beautiful work, Alfredo. That's a project on my roundtoit list and I sure hope I can fashion a lamp base half as well as yours.

They will make wonderful gifts. Thanks for showing.

Good work, Alfredo. It wasn't that long ago that you got your lathe. You've learned very quickly.

I'm sure everyone will love their gift and treasure it because you made it.

I am learning about the different kind of wood that are available here.
Machiche is a hard and heavy wood. I tought it was OK for this project.
I have also bought some tzalam wood. It is hard and heavy.

I have contact with a man who is in charge of a lumber store.
He recommend me the chechen wood because of its hardness.
He has some wood, but at this time is at the "oven". He told
me that it usually takes between two or three weeks so the wood
has a minimum level of moisture.

Alfredo
