OK - My high quality 10" Delta Bandsaw Model 28-195 is great to resaw small pieces of Playdough (before it dries out) and that is about it. I really only use it to knock wood down to size to fit inmy laser.
It has been a fine saw for what I do with it.
Turned it on heard loud crack and ended up with a broken tire on the upper (non-drive wheel). Delta tells me part no longer available.
So I place belt back on wheel. It must of been a very tight fit or a piece went missing as once wrapped around wheel there is a 3/4 inch gap.
Thought I would wrap the belt on tight and epoxy just the ends to the wheel. Once that cures I would fill in ,with epoxy, and shape it to fit nice and smooth.
The belt is made of some kinda very hard plastic so I think the epoxy will fill in very nicely.
Any ideas???
