The carving club I used to belong to signed me up for a class as a thank you for getting them space in our church gym. I may have to give carving a bit more effort. It was fun again. Hasn't been fun for years. Cottonwood bark, the door opens on wood hinge pins. Finished with some kind of orange oil/wax goop from one of the borgs.

Hi Dale - really nice piece! I have so much respect for anyone that can carve - it is so far out of my realm and way beyond my reach talent-wise. Great job.

Several guys in my carving club like working with the cottonwood bark and they have made some very nice pieces. I may have to try it myself. We can walk along the OHIO river here and pick it up for free and that even makes it more tempting. ;) Very nice work!
