Well I have notice a number of confessions here recently mostly related to boo boos on machines. Mine has to do with drywall.
For those of you who have followed my thread of my workshop build and interior finish, you will know that I have put up two layers of drywall and green glue in between to soundproof my workshop as much as possible.
Well doing this on your own, with the aid of a drywall lift, those 11 ft lengths of 5/8" drywall are heavy. So when you get one up and in place with all the glue on you are so delighted to have achived it safely you forget what you had behind it.
I covered up my 220v 20amp receptacle that i had put up for my dust collector.
Initially I thought I had forgotten to put the receptacle in it place. But then I went back to my records (pictures of my electrical work before drywall and with insulation. That is how I found it. Here is a picture of the repair.
Had to pull back the drywall which by now the green glue had turn to very sticky goop. Managed to find exactly where it was and cut out a piece to let it through.
Well no hands were hurt in this process only my ego was a little bruised.
