Sapele Bowl

Hi Guys:
Here is a couple of bowls I did just before Christmas for the loml
They are made with Sapele, looks a lot like Mohogany. I still have a lot to learn so any comments will be greatly appreciated.

Good looking bowls. In South Africa where I originate from, we used to call it Sapele Mahogony.

What size are they, and what finish did you use on them?

Hi Rob:
I had looked up the Sapele name and found out it is from South Africa, But it had not told me that it was known as Sapele Mohogany. My dad loved to work with Mohogany. He built a lot of furniture and pedestial tables with it.

Size and Finish

Hi Vaughn:

They are around 6 1\2 inches dia, and 4 inches high. I finished them in Salad bowl finish, around 5 coats, if memory serves.
