Here is a picture of the rocking horse I finished today.
It's for my granddaughter who celebrated her 5th birthday yesterday. She will get to ride it later today.
It's made of Red Oak. I used a black dye for the saddle, hoofs and tail. The finish is pre-cat lacquer.

happy new year keith willseeya t h mtng the 16th

Jim,
I didn't use leather for the seat. I know that is not the way I said I was going to do it but my source was delayed and I had to meet this very important deadline. Number one rule in woodworking ...keep your designs flexable.(birthdays can't wait) I think that's part of the fun.
The meeting on the 16th is a hands on demo, cutting dovetails. You should make a trip to the big city and bring some friends. Know any Galoots?
Keith

Larry,
Have a good New Year...don't over do the apple juice.
See you on the 16th.
Keith

Did you test it out first to make sure it works properly?

 Larry is drinking apple juice these days? what's he putting in it?:dunno:
