More pueblo pots

Continuing my investigation of different types of pottery here are two more. Guess you guys will see the originals more than me so are better qualified to comment

6" tall, 6" dia. oilrd for a matt finish.

Hi Pete.

Those look great, the matte finish enhances the somewhat " primitive" or more usable shape of them.

Do you actually make templates out of real ones? or just eyeball them from pics?
 
Thanks Tony. I have a load of downloaded pics from the internet pinned up in the shed and use them as examples of form and dimension. Tend to do them smaller as it involves hollowing and I haven't got any hollowing tools apart form a small hook.

More good stuff, Pete. I don't really recognize the form of the first one (the shoulders are a bit sharper than I've accustomed to seeing), but the second one shows definite Acoma or Zuni influences (to me at least).
