10" Jet Wooden Handscrew Clamp Sale at Rockler.com

Noticed these on the Rockler site:

    http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=17311

$4.49 sale price vs. $14.99 regular price seems to be a no-brainer to me. I picked up four of them. Use promo code V7754 to get free shipping.

Thanks for the heads up, but the promo code doesn't give me free shipping

Hmmm...it worked for me. There was a box on the page where I was entering the billing and shipping addresses, and then a page or two later when the shipping options are shown, they showed standard ground delivery as free.

Did you order it yesterday, Vaughn? All shipping was free until 1/1/2007. No code needed.

The code didn't work for me either.

I am not up on how they establish the sizing on this type of clamp. Is it the length of the jaw or from one jaw to the other how wide it opens?

According to this site, at least the Jorgensen clamps are measured in jaw length. I would assume others are the same.

For example, a 10" Clamp has jaws that are 10" long. The space between the jaws, clamping capacity, seems to be a few inches less.

It was quite a bit after midnight Pacific time when I ordered (a few miunutes befor I made the post here). Maybe I caught it before they flipped the switch on the server.

Nonetheless, sorry the code didn't work.

    The code works by phone.

I confess I am a non fancy clamp collector. No Besseys or Jorgensen cabinet masters or Fancy Jet clamps. Yep basic clamps seem to work fine.

    Yes I ordered 8.

    Thanks Vaughn.
