Makita 5007 or 5008 MGA

Does anyone own one of these saws? Are they good saws? I am considering buying one with a brake to use with the EZ Smart guide.

The EZ Smart people sell both of these with the EZ Smart base and dust shield installed on the saw. I haven't used either, but my guess is they must work well with the EZ Smart system or they wouldn't sell the package. If my Makita SCMS is any indication, they make good saws.

Thanks for the reply. After I posted this, I was reading on Sawmillcreek where they highly recommend either of the Makitas. My brother has one of the Makitas without the brake - cant remember which model, but it isn't either of these - and it is a nice saw.

I have a Bosch CS20, but the plastic base is a little flimsy at the mounts and with the EZ Smart, it can still make a cut that isnt quite square if you put the wrong pressure on it.
