Man you guys are killing me here.
I'm sitting here thinking of the cars I had, and wish I had them stored in a barn somewhere.

68 Chevelle 396
66 Vette 427
64 Impala
55 chevy 2-10

71 cheyenne 402 [bought new]
66 1/2 ton [10 inch wheels all around ]
53 plymouth my first car
58 ford [couldn't keep the driveshaft in it for some reason ]

Couldn't keep any of the chevies in one piece
So I went to Fords.

OK here my list,

55 Chevy streight 6 3 on the tree. Bleu the engine while drag racing.
52 Ford with a 50 Merc Flat head, couldn't keep clutches in that beast.
50 something hearse,,, had to get rid of it since my mother didn't like it parked in front of the house.
57 Chevy, sold it to my cousin since I joined the Navy and didn't think I'd need a car for a while.
61 Chevy 2, I wreked it during one of my youthful indescretions.
69 VW Beatle, my first new car
72 Capri with a V-6, and a 5 speed, used to kill porches.
Then I had company cars for a looooong time.
89 Chevy S-10, went through two engine
2002 Chevy s-10
2005 Silverado

'49 Plymouth coupe....Dad sold it after folks went to visit grandparents. They came home early....I was test driving it.....I was age 15 at the time of the test drive....I was 16 when I could sit down again.

'56 Chevrolet...baby blue 2 door sedan.......traded it....

'64 Chevy SS Impala convertible......sold it when I went into the Navy in '68

'71 Pontiac T-37........a DOG...a Bigger Dog than Tod's mastiffs.....

'72 Chevelle...350 2 door sedan........nice car!

'74 Scout II......flat head 6...

'83 Full size Blazer.........blue and white LEMON.....5 transmissions.....got rid of it

86 Toyota 4-Runner........reliable........worked great

2003 Honda Accord V-6 4 door.......reliable transportation.....


1990 Ford F-350 4x4....460ci.....5 speed manual.....4:10 rear end.......reliable 11 mpg..........upwind...downwind.....4,000 lbs hay on it......9,000+lb 5th wheel...behind it.....11 mpg...........

Someday.........it was funny Steve. I moved to nothern Illinois from southern Illinois.....baby blue '56 Chevrolet....I couldn't buy a date. Traded for that '64 lagune aqua SS Impala convertible......had to buy a baseball bat....made me realize how fickle 17-20 year olds were....male and female.......met my wife...I"d already sold it to a friend who was taking delivery the day I went into the Navy......she didn't care......3 days after I met her....I asked her to marry me.......first woman I'd ever taken out....I'd ask..."What would you like to do...go?"......She'd echo the question......It's lasted 38years.....Though...the day before our 38th anniversay...she asked me if I thought it was going to last 38....there was some sincerity in her voice at the time too!
