Christened the buick today...
it won't fit sheet goods, but it'll hold more than enough sticks to keep me busy.
this is the bed I designed for my stepson Adam. I think I may have overdone it just a bit.
These are the parts (minus the rails)... 2x6 and 2x10s. Yes 10... oy, I could have gone with 2x8s I'm sure, but this will work better visually I think.
Adam helped cut them all to length, there are a few more pieces yet to be cut come to think of it, but I decided to take a break for dinner when I made a minor mental error... no injuries, but I will need to cut two more parts, good thing I picked up extra wood.
I was using this:
I decided to gang cut the two legs together (pair on each end), and thought an auxiliary fence...
would be in order.
note to self, Pay closer attention to the layout lines... I don't know if you can see it, but way off to the right there's a line which is where i was supposed to be cutting towards...
oh well, I have plenty of lumber.
