Here are some of the results from my McNaughton coring rig. These little bowls are red eucalyptus about 7 1/2" by 3" (for the momma bowl) and 5 1/2" by 1 3/4" (for the baby bowl). Pretty simple and plain form-wise, but the wood makes up for it, IMHO. I didn't expect the swirl of sapwood on the outside, but I'll take full credit for it.
The finish is a couple coats of Formby's Tung Oil Finish followed by a PL buff and Renaissance wax. It's a great combination on this wood.
