I Have to agree with Norman. I liked the first one, especially after the alignment of the legs and top support and the addition of the through mortise on the stretcher.Just my opinion of course, but I liked the original style much better. This one to me just looks Too Busy, ie; too much wood and it kills the style.
Art I am planning on putting a round communioin host about 6 inches in Dia and 1" thick and a Challis below it on the center panel. I may turn the Chalis then cut it in half to make it 3-D.
