first bowl

Here is my first attempt at making a bowl. The wood is Sugar Maple. I roughed it out when the wood was green, sealed the end grain stuck it in a bag and then re-turned this past week.

I finished it with Tung Oil. The wood came from a large branch that we have on the greenhouse/flower shop property. I have lots of Spalted Maple wood from this branch.

How "fancy" did you get with the turning process? Reverse chucking is assumed, but just wondering if you went whole hog and used a vacuum chuck? Compression chuck? Jam chuck? Something else?

thank you and it was a compression chuck. I have a Super Nova2 chuck and the 10 inch Coles Jaws that fit it. I plan on doing a lot of this type of bowl for my real world retail flower shop business.
