You ever get to a point when you are looking on line to buy a part and you can not find what your looking for and you decided to make it yourself ? I've looked for an hour on line for 4 lion claw feet for a cedar chest to no avail. Finally decided to cut out the legs and tomorrow will carve them. It's a little cheaper buying them but when you can not find a match or something that comes close you do what you have to do.

i did a few years back for a secretary i made dave. i wasnt then and am still not a carver but these did turn out ok considering i couldnt find the replacements..and it was fun to make them:)

Here you go Toni

after getting the basic shape on the drum sander which my friend was so nice to give me, I knew it would come in useful sooner of later, I then began with the ball, once the ball is marked out and carved on both side the rest is history. Just start trimming away the fat. I lined a finished one up to one I was caring to keep an eye on the progress.
