    PIXresizer

Here is a little program that Kevin G. turned me onto. It may help some of you that want to reduce the size of a picture. Its a small but very effective program.
The first link is the web site, the second is the actual download.

    Picasa 2

I use Picassa 2, which is free from google. It's main purpose if for organizing and making edits to the photos but can also be used to resize you images via the export option.

    Pixresizer Tutorial

And for anyone who's having problems resizing or posting pics here, I wrote a tutorial almost a year ago for SMC, but it's now been edited for this site. You can see it here.

I second the Irfanview nomination, too. I use it just about daily for work and almost nightly for play.

I agree with Greg and Vaughn. Irfanview is the easiest most compact picture editing program I have used. I down loaded a bunch of them and tried them out, but none have come close to this one. I can't believe it is free! He should have released it as shareware, it would be worth $20.00 easy. Jim.
