The ongoing evolution of my Shop has achieved another milestone.

Quite some time back, like I dunno, a year and a half or something, I posted some pics of a stand/cabinet I built for my little Ryobi benchtop Table Saw.

This past January, I finally upgraded that toy to a "Real" table saw, the new Ridgid Granite Top Saw:

At the same time, I had a little (also Ryobi) benchtop router table, that I have been wanting to upgrade.

I had saved the big chunk of countertop that I had cut out to fit the table saw, if you notice, that is what the router table is bolted to, that is clamped to the workbench, there in the last pic. So, having acquired a router lift, and yet another Hitachi M12VC router, I figured a way to re-attach that chunk back into the cabinet, cut out an opening for the lift, plowed out a fitting for a miter channel & T-track, and bolted the whole mess together, so that big table saw cabinet has now become a big router table. :thumb:

I also added a fence positioner - looks like one of the Incra gadgets, but is actually Pinnacle brand, which Woodpeckers makes as a Woodcraft house brand.

The next step in the project, is to build a couple of drawers to fit either side of the lift, into that big open area below the counter top, and add a door directly in front of the router, so as to help channel all the sawdust down & out to the dust extraction port.

All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the new toys I've built for myself.:headbang::clap:

A router table with a lift is on my "to do list", but I need to plan it carefully, not for the table but for the router and lift needed.

Looks like a great table Kevin, and I'm sure that your routing is far safer and precise now:thumb:

Those look great Kevin. :thumb:

Your old setup inspired me to do similar things with my benchtop TS and router table...maybe I need to follow you again and upgrade.
