In my defense, I have not slept well the last couple of nights and you know how the mind starts to travel down paths not normally tread in those conditions...

If I have to tell you it melody is the same as the Ballad of Jed Clampett, then you won't get it.

The Ballad of Larry Merlau

Come and listen to a story about a man named Larry
A poor wood butcher, all he had to work was cherry,
Then one day while wondering how to make good,
He ran smack into some chocolate wood.

Walnut that is, brown gold, Michigan spice.

Well the first thing you know ol Larry's a millionaire,
Kinfolk said "Larry move away from there"
Said "Californy is the place you ought to be"
So he loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly.

Hills, that is. Movie stars, big commissions.

Well now its time to say good by to Larry and his tools.
And he’d like y’all to consider his wood butcherin school.
You're all invited back a gain to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of his hospitality

Wood wackin that is. Set a spell, grab a barley pop.

Y'all come back now, y'hear?.

if only it could be true Bill,,:rofl::rofl::thumb:you got to much free time and i thnk yu should look into t adiffernt line of work your to good at other things to be flyun everywhere:)

Bill, Mind if I set that to a little music? Great lyrics! It'll give me a reason to tune up and practice the ole banjo!
