my work laptop crashed, so no phancy photoshopping, plus the new Canon doesn't have a flash, so available light photo with a $3600 camera and no editing. (I'm so ashamed).

Thanks guys,
I've been in a bit of a funk for awhile, it was good to get out there and make something again. I also 'finished' my lathe stand, got it situated for better lighting and got the lathe 'installled' on it.

Couple of things I've 'discovered' thanks to this though...
1) I want to pick up or make a new set of jaws so I can clamp the piece in my chuck without risking my fingers as much.
2) I need to build a rack to hold my gouges and what not. I had them scattered all over the shop by the time I was done, resting on my TS, Planer, Drill press and the lathe stand.
3) I really like my venerable set of carbon steel spindle gouges.
4) Insulation is my friend, I need to finish that part of the shop better and get the solar project finished.
