what would you wish/hope for?(Im taking it you were all good and deserving of at least one gift, no matter who brings it to your house, or how its delivered, Santa, ups, pony express, pickup truck, etc...)and so what its a childish question.

Not allowed to post Religious answers ---- so I will be selfish and say that I need to have a miracle which would give me much better health -- pain along with depression is not much fun...

Like Paul, good health. I too live with pain everyday. I have finally gotten past the depression, however. Hang in there Paul. It can be done. If you want to PM me for an uncensored conversation you are more than welcome to do so. Maybe I can help.

materialistic junk means nothing when pain and depression become an everyday event. Im with you guys on this. I dont expect any miracles, but Im putting myself into treatment right after new years hoping I can get my holiday wish to be pain free.
AFter that, a weekend away at a beach somewhere would be nice.

Gee, I'm feeling kinda bad because my first thought after reading the question was a 1967 Camaro RS convertible.

But I guess I'll go instead with the whole good health thing instead...

Setting aside things such as an end to cruelty and explotation of women and children, all countires agreeing to do some serious about polution, world peace, etc,
I would like a Felder 531 Combo machine Felder 531 Combo Machine.jpg
coupled with a modest expansion (about 20%) to the size of my woodworking shed.

Message is to those about their pain and depression. I work in the hospital and i would suggest that you see a pain management specialist (Dr or Dr's that specialize in pain management) - Not a general practicing Dr.
I have seen great results in both areas when people are managed correctly. With so many advances in chronic pain management I think you will be pleased.
You may already be aware of the above but if not do some research in your area for this particular specialty or travel if you have to in order to get the correct treatment.
Hope it helps......................Dan

Allen,
A very difficult question to answer... my life is pretty good.. I and my wife have relatively good health, we have most of the the material things we need.. I honestly don't know what I would wish for.. maybe the rest of the world to be as lucky and fortunate as we are.

We are going to Colorado to have Christmas with our daughter.
Seeing her will be my best present. She was a late in life child and my attachment to her is special. I very much love my son, DIL and grandchildren but not having seen our daughter for almost two years has been difficult.
Such is life in America, families move great distances from each other.

My older sister needs a kidney. I started the 'living donor' process on October 9th. Two months later the transplant coordinators (at U of Tennessee MC) haven't managed to get me scheduled for tissue tests and what not. It seems to me like once someone is on the transplant list, they might step it up a bit. :(

So I guess my wish is that maybe the wheels will start turning a little faster after the holidays and we can get this thing done, or at least determine whether we can or can't.
