My son was 8 at the time and my wife was talking to his teacher about something, and the teacher comes out with "Your son - he has a very adult sense of humor".
My first thought as this statement was being relayed to me later was "Is he telling dirty jokes or something? What does that mean?"
He has a very dry, ironic sense of humor (he apparently got it from me
)
