How does this happen???????

For me - its a pencil.

I could have 50 nice sharp pencils - but - after I sharpen them - on their own - not of my accord - the leads break off - they get worn down - or they simply vanish - never to be seen again.

Anal retention as a way to keep your tools from getting lost - doesn't that get painful?
