This is one of those times that it was supposed to be 2 pens. One made from BOW and the other from Amboyna Burl. As you can see one did not survive as a pen. I hate when I blow up an expensive pen blank. As a keychain maybe I can get back part of the cost.

Nice save, Dennis, and I really like the pen, too. Does the pen tip retract? If so, how does it work?

Yes Vaughn the pen does retract. You hold the tip of the pen in one hand and twist the rest of it. To change ink the whole bottom pulls out but not very easyly.
