My kind of ice cream bowl. A little over 11 X 2 1/2 Walnut. Flat bottom. Antique Oil but not buffed. This is the largest bowl that I have made that has made it this far. Kind of plain looking as far as shape but I'll take it. Hope you like.

Ted,

I really like Ice Cream--- and I really like home popped corn also...

I think both would work.. (a little on each side of the bowl may be good) :)

Well done and nice bowl.. Dennis

Great looking bowl Dennis. Like the simple form and finish looks good.

Richard all finishes today are food safe but most need to be cured at least 72 hrs. Then they are good to go.

Bob Flexner was the first and Ernie Conover was the other. I met Ernie at a Symposium and that's when he explained that all were food safe if cured at least 72 hrs. Ernie was the one that got me started with Antique Oil. He uses antique oil on all of his utility items. He said he hates General Finish Salad Bowl finish. I have to agree with him as it will get gummy and sticky after a couple of years. On my utility items I use either AO or Mahoney's walnut oil.
