Thank you all for your kind words. Norma had been ill for quite a long time. At first, the illness was not severely life limiting - she was able to continue to function fairly normally and enjoy her friends and activities. But as time went on, she became much more limited in her activities and needed a lot more help. And there were a lot of painful medical procedures over that time.

I miss her enormously. We "shared" the details of our lives in our conversations. I already find myself wanting to ask her advice about things, or of wanting to just share what I did.
