Learned about a "new" tool today.

I was at a friends shop today doing some TIG welding on a stainless table and I mentioned that I might be back soon to shear some steel sheet stock and he showed me a metal cutting skill type saw that he got from Harbor Freight. I have never heard of such a thing. Looks like a regular skill saw on steroids. He stated that it was one of their better made tools, and demonstrated it for me cutting through some 1/4" plate like butter.

I got to get me one of these.!!!!!

yup... didn't happen...

Hey, I got home after 9:00 pm and haven't got the chance to go add to the tool stash yet. My friend did give me a blade to try out in my skil saw, but it doesn't have the guard to contain all the metal chips like the metal saw.

I will give it a spin tomorrow.
